Dr. Teri Reynolds Appointed Scientist for WHO in Geneva

Dr. Teri Reynolds, Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine, has accepted a position as Scientist with the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva to serve as the Emergency and Trauma Care program lead. Early priorities for the program include the development of an Emergency Care Systems toolkit for ministries and policy makers including: a framework for essential components of emergency care systems, an emergency care system assessment tool and roadmap for system development, and metrics to evaluate the performance of emergency care systems. This is the first appointment at WHO for the discipline of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Reynolds received her Masters in Global Health at UCSF and is a recognized leader in emergency system development and training in Africa.
