Eighteen members of the UC San Francisco Department of Emergency Medicine have been recognized for their outstanding contributions to teaching and mentorship through 2025 Faculty Awards conferred by The Haile T. Debas Academy of Medical Educators (AME). Of them, 17 are recipients of the AME Excellence in Teaching Award, and one is the recipient of the AME Excellence in Mentoring Award for UCSF Teaching Faculty. In addition to these awards, two department members have been accepted into the Academy's Class of 2025.

These peer-nominated awards highlight outstanding front-line teachers (of learners) and mentors (of learners and faculty) across all UCSF teaching sites. Recipients will be celebrated at the annual Celebration of New Members event on September 17.
