Aaron Harries, MD

Dr. Aaron Harries is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine (EM) at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and works clinically as an Emergency Physician at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital Emergency Department. Aaron earned his medical degree at the University of California Irvine School of Medicine, his EM residency at Alameda County Medical Center (Highland Hospital), and his EM Global Health Fellowship at UCSF. His fellowship focus was on EM education and developing emergency care in Uganda.

Aaron's academic interests are in EM education, global health/international disaster medicine, and ultrasound use in low resource settings. Aaron has worked in disaster response in post-earthquake Haiti and in the Philippines after typhoon Haiyan. He has also taught medicine internationally in Kenya, South Sudan, Haiti, Thailand and Uganda. Aaron is the Medical Student EM Clerkship Director at UCSF and loves teaching medical students about the exciting and rewarding specialty of Emergency Medicine.
