Michael Darracq, MD, MPH, FACEP, FACMT, FAWM

Michael A. Darracq, MD, MPH is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Medical Toxicology, and Addiction Medicine.

Dr. Darracq received a BS magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego and a MD from the University of California, Davis. He completed an emergency medicine residency at University of California, Davis and a medical toxicology fellowship at University of California, San Diego. He holds an appointment as Associate Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and is currently core faculty at UCSF Fresno.

Dr. Darracq is a veteran of the US Navy. He deployed to Afghanistan and served as an emergency medicine mentor to the Afghan National Army (June 2008-July 2009). In addition, Dr. Darracq previously served as member of the Emergency Medicine Residency teaching faculty at Naval Medical Center San Diego (2007-2011).

Dr. Darracq has extensive research experience and has authored numerous peer reviewed articles, abstracts, and chapters on a variety of subjects related to emergency medicine and medical toxicology. He currently serves as the toxicology section editor for an online emergency medicine textbook. Other interests include wilderness and limited resource medicine and disaster management.

Outside of professional interests and commitments, Dr. Darracq enjoys spare time with his family including his wife and his 6 children.
