Dr. Andrea Tenner Returns from Sierra Leone

Dr. Andi Tenner, Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine, returned to San Francisco in April 2015 after spending almost three months in Sierra Leone working with the International Rescue Committee in the fight against Ebola. She served as a Case Management Coordinator and helped oversee the IRC's three Ebola Isolation Units in country. Details about her experience can be found in her blog post. She spent her quarantine period at the World Health Organization (WHO) headquarters in Geneva consulting in the Emergency Care Systems program, with a specific focus on surveillance and the surge capacity functions necessary to keep Emergency Care Systems operational in a crisis.
