High Sierra Wilderness and Travel Medicine Conference

April 18, 2018
to April 20, 2018
The Pines Resort at Bass Lake, California

Join the UCSF Fresno Department of Emergency Medicine at Bass Lake, California - gateway to Yosemite National Park - for the High Sierra Wilderness and Travel Medicine Conference. The conference is designed to meet the needs of those who may encounter life-threatening situations with limited resources. This includes not only emergency physicians, nurses and PAs, but also internists, family practitioners, backcountry rangers, EMS providers, members of the search and rescue community, and outdoor enthusiasts. Through both lecture and hands-on skills workshops, we will explore topics including survival and field treatment of environmental illness, rescue techniques, wound care, and fracture management. This course is proudly presented by the UCSF Fresno Wilderness Medicine Program.
