Hometown:
San Francisco, CA
Medical School:
Yale
Training:
UCSF-ZSFG Emergency Medicine Residency Program
EM Interests:
Informatics (especially machine learning applied to healthcare), ultrasound, and austere emergency medicine as it applies to spaceflight
Hobbies/Interests:
Computer programming projects, cooking, travel, exploring the city with my wife on our Vespa scooter "Red", flying planes, scuba diving, and camping
Interesting Fact:
I experienced zero-gravity on the "Vomit Comet" aircraft as part of a science project with NASA. I also spent a month at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX, where I helped develop ultrasound recommendations for management of emergency medical conditions on missions to Mars.
Future Plans:
After honing my EM skills with a few years of practice, I'd love to eventually work for NASA, where I hope to spend my non-clinical time helping build technology that will enhance emergency medical care on long-duration space missions and low-resource settings on Earth.
