The UCSF East Africa Interest Group (EAIG) will kick off its second year with a workshop devoted to the broad topic of Global Surgery, featuring Dr. Teri Reynolds, Assistant Clinical Professor and Director of Global Health.in Emergency Medicine, along with other faculty representing the departments of Anesthesia, General Surgery, Ob/Gyn, and Orthopedics, who are building successful collaborations with partners in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
The session will provide a forum to explore opportunities for cross-campus collaboration and sharing of resources, while fostering strengthened institutional support of global education and research in surgery and trauma, focusing on East Africa. We would welcome your participation in this stimulating discussion.
