- Families meet for dinner 3 times per year to check in with one another, provide peer-to-peer mentorship, and faculty support

- ERTalks (Every year our residents go into local high schools to present an honest picture of what they see daily, providing the tools and information for teens to make informed decisions about drugs and alcohol. This is the legacy of an AOD project [Freeman, Health & Society 2013].)
- National EM Day of Service
- Zuckerberg San Francisco General Training and Education Programs for Underserved Populations (STEP UP)
- Event management preparation/mass casualty staging (with EMS & Disaster Medicine Fellowship personnel)
- Sports physical exams for local high school athlete
- Participation in regional and national competitions (Sim Wars, Sonogames)
- UCSF Emergency Medicine Alumni Reunion (proceeds support resident travel awards for domestic and international training opportunities - Make a Gift Here)
