Our Team

We have 93 full-time core faculty in San Francisco and Oakland and 49 full-time core faculty in Fresno. 

All faculty are residency-trained, board-certified/-eligible in Emergency Medicine and/or Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and hold appointments in the UC San Francisco School of Medicine. Our faculty are dedicated educators who supervise and mentor house staff and medical students in clinical care in emergency clinical care while conducting research and lecturing locally, nationally, and internationally. Many hold prominent roles on hospital, state, and national committees and contribute as reviewers and editors for peer-reviewed journals. A large number of our faculty also possess additional certifications in specialized areas like ultrasound, simulation, emergency medical services, global health, infectious disease, and internal medicine, as well as fellowship training in education and research.
